TA 23-05: Sunsetting Shared Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS)

Action Requested: Migrate off CDT’s Shared ADFS
Effective Date: December 31, 2023
Overview
As of December 31, 2023, the California Department of Technology (CDT) is sunsetting its Shared Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) offering to simplify authentication management and provide greater control and visibility to each department’s O365 administrators.
Action Requested
Customers currently utilizing the Shared ADFS offering must migrate off the service prior to decommission on December 31, 2023.
In order to coordinate discussions with the Shared ADFS team, current Shared ADFS customers will need to provide their CDT Customer Engagement Account Lead with an estimated migration date no later than June 16, 2023.
