The Information Security Leadership Academy (ISLA) is a rigorous program aimed at preparing candidates for the critical roles of Information Security Officer (ISO), Agency Information Security Officer (AISO), or an expanded role within their department’s security office. The Academy incorporates security best practices, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) risk and security control frameworks, California-specific policy, standards and compliance, and information security program management skills.

The program cost is $5,000

The following four documents MUST be submitted for your application to be considered complete.

  • Completion of the formal application below.
  • Upload a signed Chief Information Officer Authorization Form (.pdf format). Alternates to the CIO signature are NOT accepted without an explanation as to the unavailability of the CIO to sign.
  • Upload your resume. A STD 678 cannot be substituted for a resume.
  • Upload a one page summary of career accomplishments. Summary must be one page, 12 pt. Arial font, single space).
