Generative AI Technical Training
In support of Executive Order (EO) deliverable 5.a., the California Department of Technology is collaborating with industry experts to provide technical Generative AI (GenAI) training and resources for state employees. The training will equip staff with the necessary skills to use new tools effectively and securely, fostering a workforce ready to take on the challenges and opportunities presented by GenAI. The four technical domains will focus on (1) Security, (2) Data, (3) Engineering and Development, and (4) Project Management.

CDT is offering a 1-year technical Generative AI (GenAI) eLearning subscription via Coursera for a discounted price. The trainings are customized to focus on 3 GenAI domains: (1) Data, (2) Engineering and Development, and (3) Project Management. Coursera licenses are valid now through June 2025 and additional content is added as it becomes available.
