Output Classes - Rancho Cordova
Output Classes may be coded in the MSGCLASS or SYSOUT parameters to specify the destination of datasets and system messages.
- The MSGCLASS parameter is coded on the JOB statement to specify the destination of JESYSMSG, JESJCL and JESMSGLG system messages.Default: //jobname JOB (acct info),name-phone#,MSGCLASS=A
- The SYSOUT parameter is coded on the DD statement to specify the destination of data.Default: //ddname DD SYSOUT=A

0-9 | Jobs that are in the TSO (Time Sharing Option) Hold Queue as a result of using SYSOUT Classes 0-8, will remain in the queue for 15 days and then purged. Jobs that are in the TSO Hold Queue as a result of using SYSOUT Class 9, will remain in the queue for 5 days and then purged. Any time that one of these jobs is in the TSO Hold Queue, customers can release their jobs to print using (E)JES or the TSO LJ command. When a job has been in the Hold Queue for 24 hours, the user will receive the message "jobname (JOBnnnnn) ON HOLD-Q. PLEASE PROCESS." The message will be repeated after 72 hours in the hold queue. |

NOTE:
- Standard printer form is defined as one part (14 7/8″ wide by 11″ long). Standard setup is 1/2 inch top margin and 1/2 inch left and margin.
- Standard printer form for the 3820 cut sheet printer is 8 1/2″ by 11″ plain white paper.
- Specific forms must be assigned a HASP number by completing forms OTech #61 or #64.
- Output defined as CLASS X is automatically held for review through TSO. All SYSOUT’s remaining in hold at 23:00 hours are released after they have been in the system 2 days.
- Output defined as CLASS Y is automatically held for review through TSO. All SYSOUT’s remaining in hold at 23:00 hours are released after they have been in the system 2 weeks, but are never printed.
- ³ All sysout zero (0) classes will be purged after 6 days. User must change to a printable class to have it printed.
- Output destined for DISCARD will be gone after 10 days at most no matter what class.
