Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are established between Microsoft and each Office 365 tenant. For more information, contact your Microsoft Account Manager. 99.9% uptime – financially backed for each O365 GCC tenant environment.

Does the Statewide ELA include other products such as on-premise licensing or Azure?
The focus of the Statewide ELA is to provide an affordable path to M365 G5. It does not include on-premise products or Azure. However, CDT does have a separate contract for Azure. Please refer to the CDT website at https://cdt.ca.gov/services/off-premises-cloud/ for further details.
Will we still have our own Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC) portal and place our own reservations or will everything go through purchase orders (POs)?
Yes, you will still have access to your own VLSC portal and have the ability to place your own reservations which will be reconciled annually before the anniversary date.
If we are on this contract and add new product licenses, do we order through CDT or VLSC? Does this eliminate true-ups?
You can add additional licenses through the VLSC and submit a single request for CDT to reconcile/true-up 60 days prior to the anniversary date. Only new products not currently included in your enrollment are considered net new and would require a request to CDT to add.
How is Calling Plans licenses different on CALNET vs on the EA? Isn’t it just a SKU?
MS Calling Plans on CALNET are the standard MS Calling Plan SKU being resold by CALNET contractors. Direct Routing utilizes Microsoft Teams as the softphone, but the actual dial tone service is handled by a separate telecommunications provider (AT&T, Verizon, NWN, etc.).
If we have current server licenses on our EA then do they rollover or stay with current contract?
Server Licenses will stay with your current on-premises contract.

The cost of each bundle will depend on each customer’s current licensing. If customers already have a Microsoft Enterprise Licensing Agreement (MELA) with Software Assurance the cost will be lower than if a customer is purchasing new. To enroll in Microsoft 365 online:
- The Customer contacts their Microsoft Account Executive to request a licensing review of their environment for migrating into Microsoft 365.
- Microsoft will provide the Customer with a comprehensive list of SKU numbers required for purchasing the needed licenses for Microsoft 365 and work with the Reseller to prepare a quote.
- The Customer submits a Case/Request to CDT, requesting services to purchase the selected items provided by Microsoft, with the quote attached.
- Once all approvals are received, a Purchase Order (PO) will be released.
- IT Program Management (ITPM) reviews and processes the Case/Request.
