Active Directory Federation and Tenant Services ADFS Hosted Active Directory Federation and Tenant Services This service is no longer offered to new subscribers and will sunset in December 2023. Provides the infrastructure needed to integrate a secure connection to Microsoft’s O365 services for customers not wanting to build out and support their own ADFS infrastructure.
ADABAS ADABAS Provides a number of database management system (DBMS) technologies including ADABAS on various hardware and operating system platforms.
AIX AIX Provides Customers standardized AIX server and operating system configurations, deployment, management, and administration of AIX-based software applications allowing Customers access via the Internet or through the CDT network.
California Government Enterprise Network CGEN Provides California State Government WAN connectivity through vendor owned and managed equipment. Customers can access the Internet, CDT facilities, customer servers and applications hosted at CDT and other State departments.
California Managed Cloud CAMC CAMC provides customers with CDT managed services within the public cloud. These services include Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS).
CAPMO CA PMO Provides centralized project management services and assists customers in managing Information Technology (IT) projects.
CALNET CALNET Focuses on providing services that meet the State’s complex and critical telecommunications and network business needs.
CAWeb Publishing Allows customers to host their small to medium websites in a shared environment while effectively contributing and publishing content through a controlled and secured process flow.
Citrix SBCS; Server Based Computing; Citrix Citrix is a secure application delivery solution within a Private Cloud computing environment that enables any Windows application to be virtualized, centralized and managed in the data center and instantly delivered as a service to State, county, federal and local government entity users anywhere on any device.
Colocation Services TMS The State of California’s Tier III equivalent co-location service allows Customers two options to assist in meeting specific departmental requirements while reducing statewide raised floor space and reduces greenhouse emissions.
Customer Relationship Management CRM VHSS Enables your organization to nurture relationships with customers and prospects to drive sales or sustain long-term profitability. It also aggregates streams of customer data to surface insights that help you make better business decisions.
Db2 Db2 for zLinux Provides database management system (DBMS) technologies on the zLinux platform.
DB2 DB2 for Linux, Unix and Windows Provides a number of database management system (DBMS) technologies on the Linux, Unix and Windows (LUW) platforms.
Domain Name Service DNS CDT is the primary authority for the CA.GOV and STATE.CA.US domains, administering and maintaining the DNS for state and local government entities (e.g., city, county, police or fire department, reclamation, water district, etc.) operating within the State of California. CDT is also the primary authority for several IN-ADDR.ARPA domains, as delegated by the American Registry of Internet Numbers (ARIN).
Enterprise Architecture EA Provides leadership for the State of California’s information technology programs and works collaboratively with other information technology leaders throughout state government.
eSignature eSig VHSS, Digital Signature Provides State and Local governments a Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) solution that implements the use of an electronic and/or digital signature in any transaction between two or more persons, including a government agency.
Fiber Ring Service FRS Provides a managed network service that is a component of the California Government Enterprise Network (CGEN). The FRS connects a Downtown Fiber Ring with both CDT Data Centers. CDT manages the network infrastructure supporting the FRS.
Geographic Information System GIS Provides organizations and individuals the ability to analyze, visualize, manage, disseminate and interpret geographic data, and the complex geographic relationship between them.
Google Analytics Google Analytics is a web analytics service that tracks and reports website traffic.
Google Search Google Custom Search enables you to create a search engine for your website.
IBM HTTP Server (IHS) for WAS IHS WAS IBM HTTP Server (IHS) is a full-featured web/HTTP server that is included with WebSphere Application Server.
IHS is based on the Apache HTTP Server. In a WAS environment, IHS is the first tier in a three-tier architecture which manages client connections to WAS. IHS in conjunction with the plugin provides WAS with additional security, load balancing between multiple application servers in a clustered WAS ND installation and static content delivery.
IBM Security Access Manager ISAM IBM Security Access Manager (ISAM, formerly Tivoli Access Manager) is a suite of IBM middleware components that provides web portal protection using Identity Management. ISAM provides an authentication and authorization solution while acting as a reverse proxy web server. This is IBM’s end-to-end single sign-on policy-based security solution for e-business.
IBM Security Directory Server IBM Security Directory Server is a directory service using Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) as its client-server protocol. IBM Security Directory server is the default directory server for IBM's Security Access Manager and Security Identity Manager middleware suites, but can also be deployed for standalone directory instances. LDAP is recognized as an industry standard for directory information.
IBM Security Identity Manager ISIM IBM Security Identity Manager (ISIM, formerly Tivoli Identity Manager) is an IBM middleware solution to centralize the management of user credentials within an organization. ISIM provides the ability to automatically create and manage user access across various systems (AD, RACF, AIX, LDAP, etc.) based on job roles or requests.
IBM Tivoli Access Manager Authorization Server The authorization server offloads access control and authorization decisions from the policy server. It maintains a replica of the authorization policy database and functions as the authorization decision-making evaluator. A separate authorization server also provides access to the authorization service for third-party applications that use the Tivoli Access Manager authorization API in remote cache mode.
IBM Tivoli Access Manager Policy Server TAM The Tivoli Access Manager policy server, referred to in previous versions as the management server, maintains the master authorization database for the secure domain. This server is key to the processing of access control, authentication, and authorization requests. It also updates authorization database replicas and maintains location information about other Tivoli Access Manager servers in the secure domain.
IBM Tivoli Access Manager WebSEAL Server WebSEAL IBM Tivoli Access Manager WebSEAL is a high performance, multi-threaded Web server that applies fine-grained security policy to the Tivoli Access Manager protected Web object space. WebSEAL can provide single sign-on solutions and incorporate back-end Web application server resources into its security policy.
IBM Tivoli Directory Server (LDAP) LDAP IBM’s directory service using Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) as it’s client-server protocol. LDAP is recognized as an industry standard for directory information.
IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) WAS Offers an enterprise-class Java-based application server.
WAS provides customers a flexible, reliable Java runtime environment that is able to run on various platforms (Windows, AIX, Linux, Solaris and z/OS). WAS is currently supported in two formats by OTech, WAS Base, a single application server and WAS ND, a clustered installation of multiple application servers. In addition to Java, WebSphere supports open standard interfaces such as the Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA) and Java Database Connectivity (JDBC). WAS is the second tier in a three-tier environment.
IBM WebSphere MQ MQ IBM MQ is a network software product. MQ is a messaging middleware that simplifies integration of diverse applications and business data across multiple platforms. MQ facilitates the assured, secure and reliable exchange of information between applications, systems, services, and files by sending and receiving message data via messaging queues.
Infrastructure as a Service IaaS Provides customers with a private cloud located at the CDT data centers. Using a self-service portal, CalCloud – IaaS customers have on-demand access to a shared pool of computing resources that can be rapidly provisioned and released as virtual machines on a pay-per-use basis.
IT Consulting Offers consulting services to assist Customers with developing IT hosting solutions to meet their program and business needs. As customers are implementing increasingly complex IT systems timely consultation with the CDT can help ensure your project hosting success.
Learning Management System LMS This subscription-based service enables customers to track, post, and report employee training, as well as send training records to other CDT LMS customer-departments.
Linux Offers standardized Linux server and operating system configurations, deployment, management, and administration of Linux-based software applications allowing Customers access via the Internet or through the CDT network.
LISTSERV LISTSERV Provides email list management software supporting all types of electronic lists including email newsletters, announcement lists, and discussion groups.
Microsoft Dynamics Dynamics VHSS Provides a flexible online solution for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and everyday work. Delivered through Office 365, Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a cloud-based business applications platform that combines components of CRM and enterprise resource planning (ERP), along with productivity applications and artificial intelligence tools.
Microsoft Project Online Project Online VHSS Offers a flexible online solution for project portfolio management (PPM) and everyday work. Delivered through Office 365, Project Online provides powerful project management capabilities for planning, prioritizing, and managing projects and project portfolio investments — from almost anywhere on almost any device.
MySQL MySQL Provides a number of database management system (DBMS) technologies on various hardware and operating system platforms.
Network and Telecommunications Leverages carrier-managed solutions to provide statewide network access and to deliver network traffic to CDT Customer headquarters sites, CDT hosting facilities, the Internet, other state agencies and departments, California counties, and external business partners. The network access equipment is owned by a CALNET vendors (AT&T or Verizon).
OCRBot Accessibility Tool OCRBot enables customers to make scanned PDF text selectable, searchable, interactive, and readable to screen readers.
Office 365 O365 VHSS Provides an O365 Government Community Cloud environment for the State of California.
OMWV Webviewer OMWV Go-Online Provides Customers with an efficient and secure alternative to view and manage output via a web browser on their desktop, mobile devices, etc.
Oracle Oracle Offers a number of database management system (DBMS) technologies on various hardware and operating system platforms.
OTech Security CDT's security program.
Platform Hosting CDT offers various hardware platforms within the Platform Hosting service.
Preventative Maintenance Schedule Provides a schedule for patching, upgrades, etc.
Project Approvals and Oversight PAO Provides project oversight on medium and high criticality reportable information technology (IT) projects for departments and constitutional offices (Government Code § 11546, et al).
Project Management Consulting Following standardized project management practices, CDT Projects Branch orchestrates the delivery of sustainable technology infrastructure to customer IT projects hosted at one of the CDT Data Centers.
Project and Portfolio Management PPM VHSS Enables the centralized management of the processes, methods, and technologies used by project managers and project management offices (PMOs) to analyze and collectively manage current or proposed projects based on numerous key characteristics.
Rates Lists current rate schedules for CDT services.
SD-WAN SDWAN SD-WAN enables enterprises to securely support application growth, network agility, and simplified branch implementations while delivering high-performance, reliable branch access to cloud services, private data centers, and SaaS-based enterprise applications.
Secure Automated File Exchange (SAFE) SAFE SAFE service allows for the secure transfer of files over public and private networks using encrypted file transfer protocols (FTPS, SFTP/SSH, and HTTPS) and supports detection and handling of failed file transfers.
Security Certificates Security Certificates (also known as SSL, TLS or X.509 certificates) are available for leased equipment in the Platform Hosting environment within the data center and to CDT Customer's externally hosted infrastructure.
Simple Mail Transfer Protocol Relay SMTP Relay Provides Customers the ability to send outbound email from devices (such as printers or servers) or applications.
Solaris This service is no longer avaialble to new subscribers and will sunset in December 2024. Provides Customers with standardized Oracle SPARC server hardware and Oracle Solaris operating system configurations, and the deployment, management, and administration of Oracle Solaris based software applications allowing Customers access via the Internet or through the CDT network.
SQL Server SQL Provides a number of database management system (DBMS) technologies on various hardware and operating system platforms.
Statewide Technology Procurement STPD The Statewide Technology Procurement Division (STPD) conducts independent project oversight for state project acquisitions of information technology (IT) and telecommunications goods and services.
Statewide Information Technology Procurement The Project Delivery Program comprises of the California Project Management Office, Statewide Technology Procurement and the Project Approval and Oversight.
Storage as a Service STaaS Provides vendor-hosted cloud secondary-storage solutions.
Unified Global Address List GAL Provides the infrastructure required for subscribers to utilize a consolidated address listing.
Vendor Hosted Subscription Services VHSS Based on customer demand, CDT has initiated and executed contracts with specified vendors based on lines of business for their subscription-based services, and passes the vendor’s service charges, plus the CDT’s administrative and technical overhead costs on to the subscribing customers.
Website Hosting Provides website hosting services on both dedicated and shared web servers for state and other government agencies.
Windows Provides Customers with standardized Windows server and operating system configurations, deployment, management, and administration of Windows-based software applications allowing Customers access via the Internet or through the CDT network.
zSystem z/OS Mainframe Provides a zSystem/mainframe hosting platform that is comprised of the hardware and operating system that run those systems, including network services and storage.
zLinux Enterprise Linux The zLinux Platform Hosting Service provides Customers standardized zLinux server and operating system configurations, deployment, management, and administration of zLinux-based software applications, allowing Customers access via the Internet or through the CDT network.
